Osaka, Umeda campus

Osaka, Umeda campus

Osaka, at the center of West Japan, is the biggest city in Japan after Tokyo. There are shopping, leisure, cultural facilities, educational institutes and everything else in Osaka. Even though it is a big city, compared to Tokyo, the rent and prices of food are lower and the easier lifestyle is a major plus point for international students. In particular, the food is widely known to be 'cheap yet delicious'. The neighboring cities of Nara, which is known as Japan’s heart, and Kyoto, which was Japan's capital for 1000 years, are places where Japan's traditional culture and history can be appreciated. There are 5 train stations including JR Osaka station and Umeda subway station which are only a 10-minute walk from the school, making it extremely convenient to go to school, hunt for jobs, or visit the historic towns in neighboring Kyoto and Nara on your days off.

Global Festival

All three Yamaguchi Gakuen schools will participate in this festival. International students, together with the Japanese students, will introduce their country's food and culture. It is an opportunity to display some unique items which are bound to be very popular.

Buddy system

In this program, Japanese students teach Japanese to international students and international students teach their language to Japanese students. Learning together, they can understand each other's culture and work together to become global-minded persons.
